Taiyamo Denku - is a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native who has been emceeing and moving crowds and floating golden era sounding hip hop into ears for over 20 years. His live show interacts well with any crowd and his off top freestyle skills have been dubbed by MC Juice as " On his level" with the freestyles. Denku started his career with a Chicago- based group named W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S. with the group they went on to release 5 projects together. Since 2007 Denku has been a solo act which to date he has put out over 10 projects including his latest "No Industry Standard " Denku is Half owner and CEO of the brand "CyphaDen Music" which he runs with his Australian producer Dcypha. Denku is also a very active member of the Minneapolis based crew Hecatomb run by his longtime friend and artist Carnage the Executioner. Carnage dubbed Denku as the "Collabking" because of his endless work with other artists including Krs One, Kool G Rap, Joell Ortiz, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Lil Kim and many more. He has 8 national tours under his belt and currently booking number 9, as Denku trys to keep real hip hop alive and well.
Soultru - Since finding his voice as an artist, Soultru has amassed a large catalog of written works that have yet to be recorded, estimated to be somewhere between 75 and 100 songs that are complete but unrecorded. He has officially released two projects to date, the 2015 release “Backpack the EP” and the 2017 release “Modest Ego”. He also contributed to the “Horizon EP”, a a collaborative project between himself and fellow Quad Cities artists Lyejah and FlowerEater. Soultru is currently working on his 3rd release, and his first full length project.
Soultru has had the great fortune to open for and share the stage with numerous nationally known acts including: Artists from the Strange Music roster, including Stevie Stone, Brotha Lynch Hung, Ces Cru, Krizz Kalico. Mayday and Tech N9ne himself. As well as artists such as Ceschi Ramos and Kweku Collins recently.
Combining his poetic and lyrical talents with a soulful voice, Soultru has forged his own unique sound. Soultru credits a wide range of influences, including Gavin Degraw, John Legend, Yelawolf and Son Little.
Soultru is among a group of young, talented and driven artists that are the backbone of the Quad Cities indie music scene, a scene that has developed into a hidden gem in the Midwest for indie music of all genres in recent years.
